EXAMPLE WORKFLOW
From an incomplete listing to usable product data.
The feed gives campaigns and monitoring a shared reference point. Start with one product: a change is easier to assess when its source, attributes and presentation in the channel are visible.
01
Choose a product and identify the problem.
Open a catalogue item or a Merchant Center task. Check its title, price, availability and missing attributes. Separate incorrect data from stale data: improving a title will not fix an out-of-date stock level.
Step outcomeOne product and a clearly defined correction.
02
Compare the original and enriched data.
Make the title more specific and add information available in the source. An illustrative “Green shoes 42” can become a title that includes the shoe type and model. Colour and size should remain separate attributes as well as appearing in the description.
Review different product variants before applying the same approach across the catalogue. Then monitor feed freshness and product statuses. A rejection or price mismatch creates a reason to return to the relevant item through its task.
Step outcomeData ready for the next step, with a check after the change.

DATA
Give products the right description.
Complete attributes and enrich titles using catalogue data. Keep variants, identifiers, prices and availability consistent.

02
DISTRIBUTION
Prepare data for your chosen channel.
Build a feed for the intended destination and review its quality. Connecting a product to a campaign gives data issues their marketing context.

03
MONITORING
Keep checking after the export.
Processes can detect rejected products, stale sources or price and availability mismatches. Choose feed capacity as an add-on in pricing.

CHOOSE HOW TO WORK
Focus on the details that make product data useful.
01
One rule, a defined group of products.
Use rules to organise titles and attributes for a selected part of the catalogue. When products share an issue, review the affected items and any exceptions. A before-and-after comparison helps you assess the correction before extending it to more products.
02
Prepare the data for the selected channel.
Choose a catalogue segment and prepare a feed with the attributes needed at the destination. Retain the identifiers linking products with the store and campaigns. After supplying the data, check product statuses and source freshness so monitoring follows the feed update.
03
Match the correction to the problem.
A competitor price change and a mismatch between the feed and the store are different issues. One calls for a commercial assessment; the other needs a data consistency check. The linked task keeps the product, observation and next step together.
BEFORE YOU START
Good to know.
Do I need to rebuild the entire catalogue first?
No. Start with one category or a few representative products. Compare the result, check exceptions and then expand the scope. This lets you assess the quality of the changes before working across the full catalogue.
Does enriching the feed change my store descriptions?
The scope depends on where you apply the correction: source data, a feed transformation or channel configuration. Establish the destination before applying a change. Improving feed data does not by itself mean rewriting the product page in your store.
How do I plan for a larger catalogue?
Feed size is an add-on in the pricing model. Before expanding, check how many products and variants you want to manage and which sources and projects they will come from.
